A Division League Tournament in Thimphu 2010
The 2010 World Cup games in the knockout stages may be devoid of a goal fest, but at the Changlimithang ground, where the A division national league is being played, it literally rained goals.

In a demolishment of an A division club, Yeedzin FC scored nine goals to thrash Nangpa FC. On the way, Kinga Thinley bagged the first hat trick of the league. The first goal came barely five minutes after the start.

Yeedzin Tshering Wangdi opened the floodgates taking advantage of a defensive mess at the Nangpa goalmouth.

After the first goal, it was all Yeedzin's show and the few spectators knew a thrashing was in the air. Surely hat-trick hero Kinga Thinley opened his account exactly five minutes after the opener. In the 24th minute, Kinga Thinley scored his second and Yeedzin's third. By the first half ended, Yeedzin has found the net six times and Kinga Thinley had completed his hat trick in the first half.

The second half was the same story as Yeedzin scored the seventh few minutes after the restart. Nangpa got a consolation goal just before the whistle in the regular time. On the 90th minute, Nangpa's Pema Tshering took advantage of Yeedzin's players going forward to get their 10th goal and scored the only goal to save Nangpa's embarrassment of a 9-0 score sheet.

By then Yeedzin has completed their 9-1 routing of Nangpa.

Seven teams are playing in the tournament, which kicked off on June 26.

According to Dipen Basnet, the coordinator, the champions will be awarded a cash prize of Nu 250,000. The runners up will win Nu80, 000 and Nu 50,000 for the third place.

The winner from this tournament will be given chance to participate in the AFC president cup next year.
