visitors to Bhutan must have a visa approved prior to arriving in the kingdom.
Those who have not had a visa approved will not permitted to board their
aircraft to Bhutan.
All
visa applications must reach Bhutan at least ten days prior to the intended
arrival date. Full passport details must be faxed to the authorities or
to BTCL (Bhutan Tourism Corporation Limited). |

will advise all visitors of their visa status befor their intended departure
date. Visitors are reminded to bring the original passport size photographs
with them to Bhutan as the will required by the immigration authorities
at Paro Airport. |

Bhutanese currency (the Ngultrum) is par to the Indian rupee. The US dollar
is widely accepted throughout the country and dollar traveller's cheques
can be exchanged at the bank or the BTCL hotels in the kingdom. |
