| On 20 September 2015, Nepal's new constitution passed. The Constituent Assembly decided to replace the current administrative division of 75 districts, 14 administrative zones and 5 development regions by a system of 77 districts, which are grouped within 7 provinces (pradesh or in english federal states). |
